Man has many struggles that push him into pessimistic thoughts. We also come into the ups and downs wheel of life and some of us seem to be fed up with these “challenges”. Many have given up mentally, physically and the worst, spiritually.
Every time I watch documentaries or news about mentally-ill patients, the cause of their fall is usually the incapacity to overcome problems. Their cases show family distortions, relationship break-ups, financial hustles, and loss of loved ones. If you listen to them, some of them will say, “There’s no God”, “God killed my love”, “God cursed me”, and many more.
These are few of the manifestations that they mishandle their faith in God before they give up. Nevertheless, it’s not only them who have this perspective at this time. Even the persons at norm have quit their godly lives because of evil desires and motives. These are the facts that are so sad to hear, know, and accept.
Personally, my faith as a Christian has been shaken several times. As a 16 year-old lass, I have been exposed to problems that try to put my relationship with God in breach. However, with Him around me, I always have the strength to hold on and believe in His power.
In my school life as an honor student, I strongly declare that God is the maker of my daily success. Yes, He sets me in trials whenever my faith is on a brink, but He helps me to cinch the faith He has authored upon me.
There was a time when I joined an inter-island competition. I had seen the results and my name wasn’t on the list. However, I kept on praying, thanking God for whatever came out. A week after, I opened the net again and by curiosity, I reread the results and found my name on it. The administration of the contest had just committed some web errors that the other names didn’t appear. Thank God! He just tested my faith!
Many more much delighting miracles happened to me and I am proud to tell those to the whole world not to brag, but to show God’s grace that everybody has all the privileges to attain. We just have to pray. Keep on praying but be sure that as you do it, you have established a strong faith in yourself which can only be acquired through God’s grace. Ask him for more strength not just physically, but most importantly, spiritually. This aspect is the most crucial inasmuch as it can take an alive physical body into spiritual death.
