Today seemed to be just an ordinary day for me, and, perhaps, to some people around me. Everyone looked so tired as if we went through a grueling day. Well, boredom really saps strength so as much as possible, don't waste energy by sitting and slouching and lying on your bed all through out the day. LOL. (I'm talking to myself XD)
Anyway, here's my thought for the day.
Talking about free hours, my favorite past time is DREAMING! I dream about future, but I don't dream of changing something in the present. I don't wish, "I hope I am not like this.. like that", "If I were.. that.. this", and whatsoever. But, one thing for sure, I love to dream of things that are impossible in present situation, but with all means, can be reached in the future. Well, I have already gotten some of my dreams before. When I dream, I incorporate it with plans on how I am going to attain it. So, my dreams are really the blueprints of my future plans. These blueprints inspire me to strive and forget about impossibilities. As Plato said, "Our plan is difficult ... but not impossible."
Then, how can this impossible be possible?
We are not rich. In fact, there of many of my relatives who support us. I know this even before but this poverty never plays a villain role in my dream.
When I dream of studying in a good school, I never think of how small and tousled our home is, of how small my father's salary is or how poor we are. It is not because I am very inconsiderate, but I always have a thinking that God's ways are different from the ways of man (Isaiah 55:8). God's sight is different from ours. Therefore, what we think is impossible can be possible with God (Luke 1:37).
Hence, it is better to believe in invisible things than to those which are visible but prone to constant changes. And, this world itself consider changes as the only thing that doesn't change. How can you rely in this world if that so?
So, I tell you now that it is only God who doesn't change! So whom would you depend on? God, of course!
When we pray, and have faith that God will answer us, that's living by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7)! Meanwhile, when in praying, we doubt, that's doubting God's existence and living by sight. Your dreams and plans are all meaningless without praying; likewise, without faith in praying, your prayer is futile. Remember, man plans his ways and God directs his steps (Proverbs 16:9).
Today, I am holding a high school diploma with honors from a private university and studying college in the nation's premier university. Thank God!
I still have a lot of dreams yet to be fulfilled. God knows how I desperately beseech unto Him all of those things everyday.
I dream of studying abroad. I dream of becoming a lawyer and entering a corporate world. I dream of traveling around the globe to share the Word. I dream of helping the poor. I dream of living in a beautiful house, size enough for my extended family. I dream of marrying a diplomat type of guy, looks pretty serious but gentleman, sweet, humorous and responsible. (Of course, a Christian)... I dream of having a family of my own.. I dream of having a simple life, comfortable, peaceful, and blessed.
I dream.. dream a lot indeed.. but not too much for a big God.
But, of course, I am contended of who I am today, of what God gives me.
Moreover, note that, God works for the good of those who love Him (Rom 8:28). It is still God who will decide but.... for BETTER, better than what we think! So, do not despair guys when you have not yet received your prayer. Everything happens for a reason, it might not be the best for you, maybe it's the other one or, probably, it's not yet the right time.. Everything has its own time, and there is a specific time for every activity under heaven (Eccle 3:1).
As I've said, I don't want to change the present but I dream and strive for the future because what lies ahead is a question mark, but endless possibilities. No one knows, you can be what you want to be someday. So, do you want your dream come true? Ask the Only one who knows the future! He will direct you, as He promised!
"When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future."- Ecclesiastes 7:14
(God speaking) "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."- Jeremiah 33:3
" (Jesus speaking) And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son."- John 14:13
